A conversation with Neil James, founder of Statera Systems, about how dietetics practices operate. We want your experience—not a particular answer.
What am I being invited to?
Statera is an early-stage software company learning from practitioners. The conversation is founder-led market discovery: it helps us decide what, if anything, is worth developing further. Statera has a commercial interest in what it learns.
You do not need to be interested in new software. We want to understand what matters to you, including where your current approach works well.
What the time involves.
- Agree on the ground rules.
Neil explains recording, transcription, access, and retention or deletion arrangements before asking permission.
- Talk about your experience.
Discuss how your practice operates, using examples that do not identify patients. No documents, records, or software access are needed.
- Decide what happens next.
Any product explanation or discussion of future work comes after the interview recording ends. You can decline a follow-up without needing to justify it.
Allow about 50 minutes for the current interview format, including a short pause while Neil organizes his notes. No need to prepare answers or review a product demonstration.
Before you decide
Straight answers to reasonable questions.
Is this a sales call?
The interview itself is not a product demonstration or a request to buy. It does inform Statera’s commercial decisions. Any product or pilot discussion is separate and happens only after the interview recording ends. Participation creates no purchase, trial, or endorsement obligation.
Will the conversation be recorded?
Only with your explicit permission. Before recording, Neil explains the meeting and transcription tools, who will have access, and the retention or deletion arrangements. Any outside service receiving audio is identified before you consent. You may ask to pause or stop at any time.
A note-only exploratory conversation may be possible if you decline recording; it is not treated as equivalent to the recorded interview set.
Will AI be used to analyze what I say?
That requires a separate, optional permission. After the interview questions, Neil may ask to share a transcript with OpenAI’s ChatGPT for an automated cross-check of his analysis, after removing your name, practice name, and patient-identifying details.
You may decline AI analysis without affecting inclusion in the founder-led interview study. Removing identifiers reduces risk; it is not a promise that re-identification is impossible. The cross-check is not used for clinical decisions, patient contact, or public attribution.
Your meeting or transcription provider is disclosed separately before recording. Consent to recording does not automatically authorize the optional ChatGPT analysis.
Do I need to share patient information or practice records?
No. Do not name patients, share identifying details, upload records, share your screen with patient information visible, or provide account credentials. General examples are enough. You may decline to disclose sensitive commercial information as well.
This interview does not authorize record access, patient contact, clinical decisions, or software deployment. Any later evaluation would need a separate scope, permissions, and appropriate agreements.
Can I skip a question, pause, or stop?
Yes. Participation is voluntary. Tell Neil if a question is uncomfortable or a detail should stay off record. You can ask to pause or end the conversation. No product commitment is required.
Will my name or practice be used publicly?
The interview is for internal discovery and analysis, not public attribution. Taking part is not permission to publish your name, practice name, logo, quotation, or endorsement. Public use would require a separate explicit agreement.
Ask about access, retention, or a deletion request before you consent; the specific arrangements will be explained for your conversation.
How does this relate to KeyRD?
KeyRD is Statera’s software project in dietetics. The interview informs whether and how work should proceed; it is not a test that KeyRD is effective. You do not need to study the product to participate, and you are not being enrolled in it.
How do I accept or ask a question?
Reply directly to the invitation from Neil to agree on a time or ask for more information. You can also use the company contact address below. There is no account to create, file to upload, or application to install for this website.
